The storied food and entertaining magazine has debuted Kitchen Couture, a new column on's blog. Launched apropos of fashion week, it's the publication's first venture into fashion-meets-food content. 

"We'd been hearing a lot lately about how 'food is the new fashion,' but to us, the two areas have always been linked as a means of self-expression. So the crossover isn't really surprising," said Scott Desimon, special projects editor at Bon Appetit. "Creative people are often inspired by any areas where creativity is currency, right?"

In the column, Carol Han, co-founder of CA Creative digital consulting agency, will conduct interviews with designers and movers and shakers in the fashion industry with food as the main talking point. She then makes each subject's favorite recipe, photographing the end result. 

Han is no novice to cooking -- she also maintains her own blog,, which fuses her love of food and fashion, chronicling her culinary exploits and beyond. 

The first segment on spotlights designer Rebecca Taylor, detailing her favorite restaurants, the best meal she's ever had and her go-to dish: pavlova, a meringue-based dessert. Next up on the column is Tory Burch. 

The pavlova a la Taylor's recipe -- prepared and photographed by Han -- looks so good we wish we could taste it. If only we could cook...
