The designer has partnered with American Express to host a private, cardmember-only shopping event at the brand's flagship store on March 24. Tickets went on sale this morning at americanexpress.com/entertainment for the event at the 4,500 square-foot boutique located on Soho's Grand Street.

wang-ja.JPG Attendees will be able to shop the spring runway collection, the addictive T by Alexander Wang line of comfy basics and a full range of accessories -- including cross-body bags, studded satchels, Velcro platforms and yes, even those pointed-toe jazz shoes. Shoppers will have the chance to meet Wang himself, try and snag some styling advice and get a little tipsy from the free-flowing cocktails.

2011's been quite a year for the designer, who in addition to just showing one of his most impressive collections to date, opening a first free-standing shop and relaunching the brand's Web site, just won GQ's Best New Menswear Designer in America competition.

So if you're an avid Amex user and will be in the neighborhood for the event, come and shop alongside the legions of Wangsters in two-sizes-too-big tees (holes optional but preferable), lots of leather jackets and skinny jeans.

On your mark, get set...
