A Drink and a Dance at The Jane Hotel

The Jane Hotel, the West Village's answer to the 'pod-hotel' craze, opened the doors to its ground-floor lounge this week.

Called the "Ballroom," the cavernous space offers cocktails from 6 p.m. on for hotel guests as well as the public. Carlos Quirarte and Matt Kleigman, the people behind NoHo hotspot The Smile, will oversee the operation.
With two bars (one per floor), ample amounts of seating, an in-the-works patio and one very large disco ball, The Ballroom is roomier than other hotel watering holes like Rose Bar and the lobby of the Bowery Hotel. (Not to mention exponentially larger than upstairs suites, many of which measure a cozy 50 square feet.)

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were spotted there in May at a fundraiser for The Art of Elysium and Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski stopped by last week for a party to celebrate the release of their latest film "Away We Go."

On Monday, even more celebs will likely be on hand when Opening Ceremony and Black Frame host their CFDA afterparty there.
