Greetings from sunny Colorado! For the last two weeks, we have been in heaven, here in Aspen. Yesterday, the Music Associates Men’s Committee had a luncheon to support the scholarship program of the opera students at our house, where all the women did a comedy routine serving as the world’s worst waitresses — and this was Jill St. John’s idea!
Last night, Harley Baldwin gave Evelyn an opening for her photography show, "An Eye for Beauty" (which has the same title as her forthcoming book), at his gallery. Everyone in town came, and we raised lots of money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Afterward, we had an intimate family dinner, including our son Gary and his wife, Laura, at the Caribou Club. We’re coming home very soon, and we’re jealous of our pals who complain that they’ve been here for too short a time — a month! We should be so lucky. We’ve got to run — in just two hours, Leonard is hosting a cocktail party for the Aspen Institute.
