It’s busy days and nights here and abroad for Cornelia Guest, who breezed into Palm Beach to help Emilia Fanjul Sr. give a benefit for the New Hope Charity’s Charter School that Emilia founded there. It was such a lively occasion, featuring a fashion show by Badgley Mischka, whose white T-shirt and paisley beaded skirt Cornelia wore. Among the guests were her mother, C.Z. Guest, Lourdes Fanjul, Lian Azqueta and the town’s mayor, Lesly Smith.

Yesterday, Cornelia was on the Concorde streaking to London to attend a benefit tonight for London’s historic Old Vic Theatre called "Elton John and Kevin Spacey: An Evening with Friends." Cornelia, who will slip into a black lace gown by Badgley Mischka, will be escorted by David Furnish, who worked with Sally Green — the theater’s guiding light — to put the evening together. And what a grand night it should be, starting with a duet by Elton and Kevin and appearances by Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Sting, Diana Krall, Peter O’Toole, Elvis Costello and the like. The highlight of the evening will be Kevin’s announcement that he will take over as artistic director of the legendary theater that he fell in love with while starring there in "The Iceman Cometh" in 1998.

Then, after a quick check on her beloved showjumpers — the ones she keeps stabled in England — Cornelia flies back to New York for fashion week, where in her role as the international ambassador for La Prairie, she’ll host a "Night of Beauty" at Bergdorf Goodman on Feb. 11. She also will take in the shows of Badgley Mischka, Marc Jacobs, and Anand Jon, who will parade his collection in Bryant Park on Feb. 12. Gillian and Lydia Hearst Shaw will give a party for 50 in his honor right after the show at the restaurant Olica. Cornelia will attend on the arm of MAC cosmetics chief, John Demsey, and then fly back to her London house.

For a nap? She did it the hard way. She earned it.
