Emily’s grandmother, Nancy Holmes of New York, and Roth’s paternal grandmother, Nini Martin, the grandest of grandes dames who lives in Hillsborough, Calif., — long-time friends — were the matchmakers. They did a beautiful job, and now Emily and Roth will be moving into their house on San Francisco’s Russian Hill, where friends and those innumerable relatives will all be welcome.

The sparkling Swarovskis — not the crystals, but the real thing — the glittering Austrian sisters Nadja and Vanessa, are all set to shimmer overtime on President’s Day Weekend in Vero Beach, Fla. The dazzling duo will be there to help put on a luncheon and world-class polo match at Windsor, the exclusive enclave founded by Hilary and Galen Weston of the Toronto Westons on Feb. 16 to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation presided by Evelyn Lauder.

Keeping it all in the family, Nadja’s and Vanessa’s mommy and daddy, Dana and Helmut, have a house at Windsor and will each have a table at the luncheon. The night before all this, Vanessa will have a little cocktail soiree at her store in Vero Beach where her Vanessa S. line of fine jewelry sparkles as much as she and her sister do. La! You should know that the polo party is called "Think Pink" and to be sure that everyone does just that, Swarovski is making pink ribbon-shaped crystal tattoos for the benefactors present. The tattoos are temporary so please don’t panic. It could frighten the horses.

Angie Harmon loved playing CIA agent "Ronica," a mentor to undercover secret teen operative Frankie Muniz in MGM’s adventure movie, "Agent Cody Banks," due next month. She didn’t even mind the martial arts training she had to undergo for the physically demanding role. "Martial arts is like dancing," she says. "Once you get the numbers and the steps down, it’s fine, and a lot of fun. I prefer being hot and sweaty and fighting all day long rather than sitting for four hours and then shooting a scene and then sitting down and doing nothing for another four. It’s so rewarding!" Well, that makes it easy for her football star husband, Jason Sehorn, to find someone to "scrimmage" with at home.
