Speaking of books, Evelyn Lauder’s new best-selling book of wonderful photographs was celebrated at a three-day, three-night exhibition at the Pace-MacGill Galleries. Evelyn will donate all proceeds from the sale of "An Eye for Beauty" to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. She’s just finished a month-long, eight-city book-signing tour and still has time to hold a symposium and lunch for 63 physicians and hundreds of women. How does she do it?
Among those celebrating Evelyn and her book were Phoebe Cates and Kevin Kline; Dr. and Mrs. James Watson; Regina Peruggi, the president of the Central Park Conservancy; Lee Thaw; Elaine and James Wolfensohn; Judge Kimba Wood and her husband, Frank Richardson; Jo Carole and Ronald Lauder; Alice Mason; Senga and John Mortimer; Eugene and Gretchen Grisanti; Dr. Larry Norton of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and his wife, Rachel; Louise and Henry Grunwald, and Agnes Gund, the former president of MoMA.
