Leonardo DiCaprio is a very busy boy. He just bought his very own island in the Caribbean off the coast of Belize, where he and Gisele Bundchen plan to spend happy times fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving. The islet, called Blackadore Cay, is bordered by a pristine white sand beach more than two miles long. It's a multimillion-dollar property and Leo and Gisele plan to spend absolutely oodles establishing an environmentally conscious retreat that conforms completely to its tropical surroundings and indigenous wildlife.
They are planning to build several villas, each with a pool; landscaped terraces; gardens, and each will have its own renewable source of energy. Naturally, all this is leading to speculation the two darlings will have a wedding in their paradise. Somebody's got to pay for all this, so Leo is making "The Departed," directed by Martin Scorsese, and is in negotiations to star in "The Blood Diamond," after which Leo will probably step into Gary Cooper's shoes for a remake of Ernest Hemingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls." They're certainly ringing for Leo.
George Clooney (sigh) and his pal, Brad Pitt, reportedly are opening a bar in Hollywood. Brad is set to design the space and the cute couple says it is just the first of what they hope will be a string of bars around the world. In which they can cavort with their friends everywhere? Brad is a longtime student of design and, as you read here, is also collaborating with one of his idols, the renowned architect Frank Gehry, in designing a restaurant and penthouse in Gehry's new $500 million seafront residential compound in Brighton, England.
