Match, the sizzling new hot spot ignited by Billy Gilroy (Lucky Strike), chef Chris Heyman (Odeon) and businessman Peter Fay, is lighting up SoHo's cast-iron Mercer Street into the wee hours. Appropriately, its combination restaurant upstairs/hangout downstairs used to be an old electric company outpost. Gilroy describes the decor as "hard and soft -- industrial but warm." But the crowd is nothing but cool: Calvin and Kelly Klein, David Geffen and Kate Moss and Johnny Depp have all dropped by.
