On Wednesday evening, a coterie of young socials including Tatiana Santo Domingo, Byrdie Bell and Sharon and Ashley Bush (Lauren's mom and little sister, respectively) filed into the BG restaurant atop Bergdorf Goodman for pre-dinner cocktails in honor of Roland Mouret, in town from London to for a trunk show of his Fall/Winter collection.
As the room filled up, the man of the hour seemed eager to deflect the spotlight. "All the attention is on my clothes – not on me, that's how I look at it," Mouret said.
The designer is in town for a whirlwind 48-hour tour of Manhattan. "New York is a lot more intense than London," he said. "Things there are more spread out and go slower." Indeed this party lasted a mere 90 minutes before guests flitted off to their next engagement.
