Talk about sugar and spice. Leighton Meester and Kristen Stewart picked up their Teen Choice Awards (for “Choice TV Actress: Drama” and “Choice Movie Actress: Drama” respectively) on Sunday night sporting polar opposite ensembles. Meester looked every inch the uptown teen she plays on “Gossip Girl” in a retro-glam, black-and-white-striped Louis Vuitton confection from the label’s cruise collection. (The polkadotted grosgrain ribbon she tied at the straps only upped the prep factor.)

Stewart, meanwhile, seemed to be channeling Joan Jett, whom she’s playing in an upcoming biopic, with a Rock & Republic number that gave literal meaning to the term “heavy metal.” “Kristen is young and sexy and not afraid to put herself out there,” said Rock & Republic creative director and ceo Michael Ball of the outfit that contained 631 spikes he claimed “hurt so good.” Wonder if Stewart concurred after sitting through the ceremony?
