How does a rock chick party after the latest fashion show of her clothing line? In Gwen Stefani’s case, by eating cheese and crackers with her parents.

“I went back to the roots with this one,” she said, ensconced in a private room at the Gramercy Park Hotel Roof Club after the second runway show of her L.A.M.B. line, which was basically a sartorial autobiography. “My uniform was black and white,” said the designer, whose collection was also inspired by “Old Hollywood and Sixties pictures of my mom.”

Though baby Kingston had been put to bed, he was at the runway show, where his proud papa, Gavin Rossdale, boasted, “He hit Boris Becker on the head.”

Others in attendance were Mary J. Blige, Martina McBride and Garbage’s Shirley Manson.

Across town, there were dozens of nearly naked boys, a handful of supermodels, and enough magazine people to fill an ASME convention when Calvin Klein hosted a party on 39th Street celebrating 25 years of its underwear campaigns.

“I don’t generally go to fashion parties, but I felt wanted here,” said the openly gay comedian Mario Cantone, who showed up around 10. “I’m sporting the Calvins.”

Photographer Terry Richardson, who never met a model he couldn’t disrobe, also had special reasons for stopping by. “I remember being a kid in L.A. and seeing the first billboard of this guy in his underwear and it was just like ‘wow.’ Because no one had turned men into objects of desire like that before.”

“Calvin should be really proud,” said Francisco Costa, who replaced Klein as designer of women’s Collection two years ago. “For 25 years, he’s been on every man’s bottom.”
