LAS VEGAS — A plethora of rockers, randy actors and the women who love them descended upon Sin City last weekend to help Peter Morton fete the 10th anniversary of his Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. (Meanwhile, elsewhere on the strip, Steve Wynn drew a more soigné crowd of Anna Wintour, Oscar de la Renta and Manolo Blahnik, while the sporty set, including Teri Hatcher, Matt Lauer and Catherine Zeta-Jones, swung away at Michael Douglas’ charity golf tournament at the private golf course Cascada.) A few snippets from the 36-hour circus:

FRIDAY, APRIL 29
9 p.m.
A khaki-clad Jennifer Meyer and Toby Maguire collect their room keys at VIP check-in, then rush off to hear Meyer’s pal, Jenny Lewis, and band Rilo Kiley open for Coldplay at The Joint.

10:30 p.m.
Chris Martin and the boys try to bring down the house, but are barely audible over the drunken socializing in the VIP balcony, where Bridget Hall, Courteney Cox Arquette, Matthew Perry and a few new best friends are perched. “This is the worst show I’ve ever played. Can you all be quiet?” Martin pleaded repeatedly (though still few could hear him).

12:30 a.m.
The crowd moves on to subterranean club Body English and proceeds to dance the night away in another cramped VIP balcony area while awaiting a performance by Eighties rapper Tone-Loc (who finally makes his appearance at 3:30 a.m.).

1:10 a.m.
Jessica Simpson and her Nick-free posse breeze past a doorman while her mother yells, “Fred Durst is with us!” as the laconic rocker shuffles to catch up.
SATURDAY, APRIL 30
12:30 p.m.
Poolside cabanas are already at capacity with the likes of Lance Bass, Jesse Metcalf of “Desperate Housewives” and Chris Kattan, who don’t seem too interested in the bikini-clad crowd, including Kimberly Stewart, who passes the time knitting a scarf, while Nicky Hilton, clad in a pool-appropriate black shorts jumpsuit, helps Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman present comedian Jeff Beacher with a key to the city as fishnet-drenched go-go dancers jiggle on a black fabric-draped stage on the fake beach.

1:20 p.m.
Jessica Alba and pseudo-beau Cash Warren make an appearance.

2:45 p.m.
Shannon Elizabeth beats Dave Navarro in a celebrity poker tournament. “I think guys underestimate women card players,” she says with a shrug.

8 p.m.
At the outdoor Bon Jovi concert, Zeta-Jones and Douglas rock out in the bleachers while Heather Locklear and daughter Ava watch Richie Sambora sing “I’ll Be There For You” from the wings. C-list troika Cris Judd, Wilmer Valderrama and Joey Fatone sway in sync to the ballad.

2:30 a.m.
Robbie Williams regales the Body English crowd with Camp Freddy’s version of Queen’s “Fat-Bottomed Girls” as several silicon-enhanced women grab his behind from the stage pit.

SUNDAY
, MAY 1
9 a.m.
David Spade eats breakfast alone at Mr. Lucky’s Cafe while reading The Los Angeles Times, and several rockers from Incubus and Linkin Park grab a bite before heading on to the next desert oasis, the Coachella music festival.
