Even for the high-powered regulars at the restaurant (Diane Sawyer, Tom Freston and Barry Diller were all having their supper), the goings-on attracted curiosity: John Cusack poked his head into the back room to have a look-see, while Carey and Hartnett popped out to the main dining room to say hi to Lenny Kravitz.

Saturday night saw Kelly Klein's book party parade marching into Sen Lounge in Sag Harbor, N.Y., for a dinner sponsored, fittingly, by Calvin Klein. "It's my fourth party," Klein admitted, sounding almost embarrassed at her good fortune. "But it's really the third because I didn't make it to the one in Miami."

Others in the crowd celebrating the reprint of "Pools" included Aerin Lauder, Sandy Gallin, Ross Bleckner, Francisco Costa and Bruce Weber, who wasn't convinced his own pool in nearby Montauk would ever have made the cut for her book.

"But my dogs like it," he said.
