They've managed to open 24 stores in 15 cities in 15 years - so it was cause to celebrate for Intermix on Saturday night at the Bowery Hotel.
"Retail is detail," said Khajak Keledjian, co-founder of the high-fashion specialty store, who hosted the dinner party. "I still feel like the young guy in this business, but retail is detail - it's what I live by."
Designers and celebrities including Ashley Olsen, Michelle Trachtenberg, Damon Dash and Prada's Graziano de Boni were in attendance, along with Theory's Andrew Rosen.
"It's not really about business for me, it's about supporting a really great store," Rosen said. "They do it like no one else and I'm a huge supporter of that."
"I love the way they buy my collection," said Yigal Azrouel, who, like others at the dinner, didn't find it difficult to brace the storm for the store. "It was not too bad, I have a driver."
Jane Krakowski of "30 Rock" also came out to celebrate the chain. "They have exactly what a girl needs," she said. "If you have a place to go at night, you can get all suited up at Intermix. It's like a one-stop shop. I have to try not to go in all the time - there hasn't been one time that I haven't bought anything."
Becki Newton, meanwhile, loves a lot of things about Intermix, including the Elizabeth & James line, whose fit she praised. "They also really have good windows, they are well styled," she said.
