Call it commitment to a cause, their friends or their social standing: New Yorkers these days refuse to let little things like inclement weather deter their charity circuit activities. Take Thursday night's blizzard, which didn't stop intrepid party-goers from suiting up in their black-tie best and filing into the Frick for the Young Fellows Diamond Deco Ball, sponsored by Tiffany & Co. and Vera Wang. Co-chairs Coralie Charriol Paul and Lydia Fenet mingled with guests like Christine Schwarzman and Brian Reyes at the gala, which was deejayed by Harley Viera Newton and Cassie Coane. "This is actually an amazing opportunity to look at the art," noted one guest of the empty galleries, which had an unpopular no-drinks allowed policy. "But it's very difficult to give up that glass of Champagne."

By midnight, revelers retreated to their town cars and headed either downtown to Avenue for an unofficial after party or home to wait out the storm.
