Across town, Joy Bryant and Emmy Rossum came out to help Rachel Zoe and co-author Rose Apodaca celebrate their book "Style A to Zoe" at Cartier in Beverly Hills. "Ah, the party girl is always late for her own party," chided Jenni Kayne to a late-arriving Zoe.

It was true again the next night for Consuelo Castiglioni, who spent hours battling L.A. traffic as she tried to get from her new Marni store in South Coast Plaza to a dinner in her honor in Beverly Hills. "Two hours it took me," she sighed as she arrived at the John Lautner aerie at the top of Benedict Canyon. Co-hostesses Amber Valletta, Angela Lindvall and Rose McGowan swished around the room in floor-length Marni taffeta gowns. "It's nice to be able to wear something where I don't have to suck my stomach in," said McGowan. "And if you need me to catch some grapes, I can do that, too," she said, pointing to the latticework on the back of her gown.
