Dinner Partners
The new single-room eatery Teatro 7 resembles a casual, cozy apartment. Decorated with cabbage flowers and dark wooden tables and chairs, the dining room looks into the glass-walled kitchen, where the cooking action is captured and telecast live on the Web. Chefs and friends Rico Guarnieri and Claudio Colombo Severini wanted to create an eatery that was simple and accessible, which explains the straightforward menu (which changes every five days) and the carefully chosen wine list (sourced everywhere from Sicily to Piedmont). For a late-night fall supper, Guarnieri recommends comfort food such as pumpkin risotto and pork filet with eggplant.

Bead It
Tucked into a street crammed with a handful of chic boutiques and a vintage lamp shop, Arzigogolo is a jewelry store that stands out. All the beaded necklaces and earrings are made on site and by hand. The pieces span the fashion gamut: Some are long and colorful; others, twinkly and short, and there are plenty of this season's trendy black necklaces. Finished pieces hang all over the shop's walls, but the designers will string custom versions as well, using a selection of beads made from glass, clay, wood, wool, cotton and linen.
