Though she usually shrugs off any birthday plans, last Friday night Olivia Chantecaille — whose middle name just happens to be Delphinium — put on her dancing shoes and threw herself a 30th birthday party among the wild and brilliant blooms at Banchet Flowers, which boasts the prettiest petals in the Meatpacking District.

Adelina Wong was there, white orchid cosmopolitan in hand, making mischief for the second night in a row. "Last night at the Asia Society party, I dared Coralie Charriol to dance on the table," Wong reported. "And she did!" Wong swore she wouldn’t rest until she had convinced her second victim — the birthday girl — to do the same.

But then, shimmying down the length of the dinner table running through the flower shop was a part of Chantecaille’s plan all along.

"Of course I’m going to dance on the table," Chantecaille said. "It’s my birthday."
