Fair Game

All good things must come to an end. Just ask Chloe Sevigny, who made her red carpet ascent for "Zodiac" on the arm of her co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal, last Thursday.

She's not the only one with projects up her sleeve: Daryl Hannah said she's got a host of planet-friendly plans, starting with a shoot in an eco-resort in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh the next day. "I hunted desperately for a fair trade dress for tonight. Green was the closest I got," said Hannah of her emerald Giorgio Armani gown, accessorized with bare feet.

Minnie Driver had also slipped off her shoes to curl up on a garden bench far from the madding crowd. She's just finished her second album, due out in July, featuring fellow warbler Liz Phair.

"Nick [Rhodes] couldn't be here as he's with Duran Duran in Manchester recording a track with Justin Timberlake," bemoaned Rhodes' girlfriend, model-cum-actress Meredith Ostrom. "I'm a bit worried that I might drink too much and end up landing, splat, on the Vanity Fair logo. And I just don't think that's the right way to make an impression."
