Don't call Lizzie Grubman's office looking for Liz Cohen anymore. The PR princess split amicably with the embattled Grubman, her best friend of 20 years, and launched her own venture on Thursday, Liz Cohen PR and Consulting. "I never even wanted to own my own business," said Cohen, who took her assistant and several accounts with her. Cohen says that she's envisioning a gentler, nicer kind of firm and is in talks with Weintraub/Siegel PR about future collaborations. Her most pressing collaboration, however, is the one ongoing with Carolina Herrera. The designer is creating a couture wedding gown for Cohen's upcoming nuptials.
Is that Dede in the frozen foods section? While Dede Brooks, who is serving a six-month term under house arrest in her 79th Street apartment, may not be allowed to dine out under the terms of her confinement, she's making do at D'Agostino's. The former Sotheby's exec was spotted shopping at the store earlier in the week, wearing loose pants -- all the better to cover that bulky electronic anklet."
