JELLY JAM: The gently spiraling floor of the Guggenheim Museum turned treacherous Thursday night at the opening of Matthew Barney’s exhibition, "The Cremaster Cycle," when a guest accidentally stepped into the artist’s shallow trough filled with petroleum jelly and tracked the stuff across the sloping floor. Passersby slipped, slid and grabbed the guard rails for dear life until security guards could escort them past the slick spots and the cleaning crew arrived. Among the guests checking out Barney’s bizarre universe were his girlfriend, Björk, who came to the opening with tiny white horns affixed to her head — no swan dress this time — and Lars Nilsson, a die-hard Barney fan, who said that since his dismissal from Bill Blass, he’s been fielding plenty of offers and "the phones have been ringing off the hook."

STRETCHED THIN: L.A.’s young socials take their yoga practice as seriously as Hollywood peers like Gwyneth Paltrow, and a few have recently moved on to become bona fide yogis themselves. On Tara Lynda and Peter Guber’s property in Bel-Air, daughter Jodi Guber opened a yoga studio last year, and now Anna Getty plans to teach a kundalini class at a party to premiere Juicy Couture’s yoga line on Thursday, hosted by fellow yoga fan and fashionista Susan Becker, who performs her downward dog poses in Balenciaga painter pants.

Of course, the kundalini clique is also welcome to bliss out Getty-style at a yoga suite she’ll host at the Chateau Marmont during Oscar week. "I’m just not stressed out about anything anymore," Getty said. "Not even planning my wedding."
