There aren't many ways to guarantee a good weekend in Manhattan, but being a member of the Young Presidents Organization seems to be one of them. When 25 or so couples from the Texas division were in town for a three-day weekend, they were treated to dinner in the boardroom of the New York Stock Exchange, breakfast at Barneys New York, hosted by Gene Pressman, a dinner hosted by Larry Gagosian at his downtown gallery, visits to Sotheby's, Christie's, and the Mary Boone, Pace and Paula Cooper galleries, cocktails at the Royalton, a studio visit with Jennifer Bartlett, a dinner at Peter Marino's house and champagne afterward at Robert Isabell's house downtown. If this all appeals to you, start putting in a few more hours -- you must be president or ceo of a company employing at least 50 persons and grossing $5 million annually to qualify for the club; inheritances don't count.

Robert Altman and Paolo Bulgari will be joining forces yet again. Bulgari is going to have another party at Le Doyen in Paris next week to launch his jewels and Altman will film it, as he did on March 10. Many in the "Pret-a-Porter" cast, including Kim Basinger, Julia Roberts and Marcello Mastroianni, are expected, and the usual Paris suspects have been rounded up. Altman's reason for a repeat shoot? He needs more footage. But he won't have a lot of time to prepare. Next Monday, just two days before the party, Altman will be feted in New York by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, and even some celebs who aren't in "Pret" will wing in from L.A. for the event.

Forget those rumors about Leonardo DiCaprio's romance with Juliette Lewis. Bridget Hall announced at the Ghost party the other night that she and young Leo are going out. "Actually," she said, "we're still in the hanging out phase. But I think we'll be going out soon."
