The American Friends of the Paris Opera will show their Francophile colors at next week's benefit at New York's St. Regis, honoring Jerome Robbins. Christian Tortu is flying in from France to do the flowers. Gray Kunz, the chef who is responsible for L'Espinasse getting so much attention, is doing the dinner.

There are plans for specially made French napkins done in the Fortuny manner, and little candles from Paris. According to Pia Pearson, Marina de Brantes's daughter, the four chairwomen will be her mum, Mica Ertegun, Helene David Weill and Anne Bass.

Pamela Barish, the Los Angeles-based designer who's developing a star clientele that includes Laura Dern, Anjelica Huston, Daryl Hannah and Rosanna Arquette, is going to mount her first fashion show. She'll show her spring and fall lines at the L.A. club Renaissance on April 20th.

Philanthropy is a beautiful thing -- and it will be downright pretty on April 13 when Christie Brinkley, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista co-chair "Dishes on Ice," a benefit for the pediatric divisions of DIFFA, AmFAR and the Northern Lights Alternatives at the rink at New York's Rockefeller Plaza.
