DVF's Purple Reign

A party Thursday night at Montana, hosted by Purple magazine, felt more Vanity Fair thanks to the guest of honor: Diane von Furstenberg.

THE COLOR PURPLE: A party Thursday night at Montana, the Left Bank’s newest hotspot, was hosted by Purple magazine, but felt more Vanity Fair thanks to the guest of honor: Diane von Furstenberg. Among those filing into the murky, mirrored basement club were Charlotte Casiraghi, Coco Brandolini, Bernard-Henri Levy, Arielle Dombasle, Victoire de Castellane, Christian Louboutin, Marissa Berenson and Betty Catroux, who said she first partied there in the late Sixties. “We all did,” she said, shaking her blonde locks. There seemed to be one photographer per dozen guests, but none snapped more than Von Furstenberg, who posts many of them on her Website. Asked about her eye-popping Purple cover in fishnet stockings, bodysuit and a Martin Margiela jacket composed of blonde wigs, she deadpanned: “I don’t know how I managed to not look ridiculous.”
