A gaggle of Brits headed to Brooklyn for the inauguration of the Bridge Project, a collaboration between the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Kevin Spacey-helmed Old Vic theater. Guests were treated to a performance of “The Winter’s Tale,” the second play directed by Sam Mendes featuring Ethan Hawke, Rebecca Hall, Sinead Cusack, Josh Hamilton and Simon Russell Beale. “The Cherry Orchard” opened last month.

“Should we go over the plot?” joked honorary chair Mike Nichols as he sat down to dinner before the performance. “I remember there is a big break in the middle, but that’s it.”
