To the relief of his female fans everywhere, Michael Kors introduced his new men’s collection at Saks Fifth Avenue Tuesday night. "Now women don’t have to feel as guilty," he said. "They can pick up seven looks for themselves and get him a nice sweater." Guests in the seventh-floor boutique checked out the jackets and squeezed the cashmeres, then headed to 21 for a cozy dinner of burgers and fries.

The question of the night: who’s not here? Well-wishers came out in force, including Chloë Sevigny, Sigourney Weaver, Jane and Aerin Lauder, Serena and Samantha Boardman, Emilia and Pepe Fanjul and their daughter Emilia Jr., David and Laurie Prince, Helen and Tim Schifter, Rena Sindi, Jamee Gregory, Lulu de Kwiatkowski, Lillian Wang von Stauffenberg, Renee Rockefeller, Marina Rust and Kors-clad couple Angie Harmon and Jason Seahorn.

But Kors wasn’t the only one feted during the evening. Congratulations abounded for the recently engaged Marjorie Gubelmann — Kors himself tried on the stellar ring — and everyone talked about Liz Cohen’s upcoming wedding. Meanwhile, Cohen’s smitten beau, Jimmy Hausman, passed around an adorable snapshot of his bride-to-be with her hair wrapped in a towel.
