The first stop on Tuesday night’s fashion fete outing was uptown, where the new Badgley Mischka flagship on 64th Street was toasted.
“We really wanted it to feel like a home, the perfect New York home,” James Mischka said of the 3,500-square-foot boutique. The space, formerly a Pucci store, is a revamped town house from architect Patrick Gerard Carmody. “We gutted the place and rebuilt it like a replica or reminiscent of a mansion of this neighborhood,” Mischka continued of the glossy space. “There’s even a little garden out back.”
Petra Nemcova, Kate Mara and Jennifer Creel all popped by for a celebratory cocktail with the designers. Justin Timberlake’s “Take Back the Night” floated through the space. Hostesses Julia Koch, Sutton Stracke, Caryn Zucker, Cornelia Guest, Arriana Boardman and Adrienne Arsht entertained guests who were perusing the wares around the boutique’s three floors, while sipping from their Champagne coupes.
“The detailing on this, it’s just so intricate,” Mara said, eyeing the beadwork on one glittering skirt dangling from a rack on the main floor. “Very Old Hollywood.”
