Tales of on-set discord are often grist for the Hollywood rumor mill, but the five young women who starred in “Sucker Punch” got on famously, at least according to them. Four of them — Abbie Cornish, Emily Browning, Jamie Chung and Vanessa Hudgens — hosted a Nylon bash to celebrate their April cover Thursday night at Tru nightclub in Hollywood.
“We all actually are great friends and talk to each other pretty often, so it has made the time since we wrapped the movie seem shorter,” said Cornish, who huddled with her co-stars in a VIP section of the club. “Yeah, when you suffer together you celebrate together,” said Chung of the grueling training they underwent for the action film. But Browning called the experience “a dream,” saying, “I can only hope to transform like that for every role.” Next up, the Australian actress will appear in the indie “Sleeping Beauty,” while fellow Aussie Cornish is learning to speak Spanish for “The Girl,” in which she plays a people smuggler from Texas.
