“I feel like I’m at some insanely rich kid’s birthday party,” quipped an attendee of Stella McCartney’s pre-fall presentation at the Harold Pratt House on Monday night.

The mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side had been transformed into a Hot Wheels-meets-Candyland set for the occasion.

“Who’s giving up sugar as their New Year’s resolution? Not us,” McCartney cracked from the downstairs salon, which was devoted to all manner of confection: Petal pink gum balls and chunks of amethyst rock candy brimmed out of jars; a tall fountain spewed milk chocolate, and, displayed on a center table, nearly a dozen oversize cakes molded to look like the designer’s classic Falabella handbag.

“I love Stella because she’s a mom and a modern woman. She’s incredible,” said Justine Koons, hovering by a tray of pastel-toned petit fours. “She’s Wonder Woman.”

The room was packed with notables: the designer’s bestie Liv Tyler, Diana Taylor, Helena Christensen, Rachel Feinstein, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Dree Hemingway, Alexandra Richards, Natalie Joos, Patti Smith and Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal (the latter of whom predictably shooed away photographers).

Tilda Lindstam took a break from posing duties momentarily when she spotted Jerry Seinfeld to get an iPhone shot with the comedian. Nearby, Blythe Danner, who stuck close to Taryn Simon for most of the evening, posed for photographers. “Oh dear!” Danner said as the flashes popped. In the adjoining room, Kimberly Chandler skipped through a hopscotch board.

Upstairs, under the mansion’s cathedral ceilings, models whirled around in screeching power wheels. Hanne Gaby Odiele tucked her pipe-cleaner-like frame into one, her legs spilling out the top of it, and happily cruised around the space, a flute of bubbly in her nondriving hand. “Beep beep!” she shouted.
