PUTTING ON THE RITZ: Only the Ritz will do for Kate Moss, who on Tuesday night threw a bash at the mythic hotel for the launch of her new jewelry line for Fred. Guests including Joséphine de La Baume, Ludivine Sagnier and Lou Doillon rocked out on the site’s covered swimming pool, which had been transformed into a Medieval castle-like setting with skeletons, stuffed animals, candles and grand oil paintings.

Escorted by Christian Louboutin, Moss entered the party at the stroke of midnight, trailed by a mob of fans. “She’s legendary,” cooed Sagnier, dressed in a black lace Pucci frock. The actress had already closely studied Moss’s designs. “They’re simple, playful, full of personality and — most of all — quite affordable!”

Josephine de la Baume, who has just finished filming the Xan Cassavetes- directed vampire movie “Kiss of the Damned,” said married life (to Mark Ronson) was treating her well. “It’s all going wonderfully, it’s only the beginning,” she beamed. French writer Frédéric Beigbeder said he’s just finished filming his first feature film, “Love Lasts Three Years,” starring Elisa Sednaoui. “It’s a movie about how society destroys love,” he said.

French comic actress Valérie Lemercier, who recently graced the catwalk for Jean Paul Gaultier, revealed she’s written a movie script with a fashion editor as its main character. The work is called “100 Percent Cashmere.” Lemercier shared some of the storyline. “She adopts a child and then decides to return it because it's not at all what she was looking for — it’s not good looking enough,” she laughed, before slipping off into the crowd.
