John Varvatos' anniversary bash on the Bowery was a rock 'n roll circus, with performances by Alice Cooper, Cherie Currie, members of ZZ Top, and many others. The first few sets of head banging, face melting, heavy metal music were not everyone's cup of tea, but singing designer Keanan Duffty launched into "Ballroom Blitz," which led to more crowd-pleasers. (Later someone covered "Foxy Lady," and Mike Myers was hanging out with Alice Cooper, to complete the "Wayne's World" fantasy.)
"I know of John Varvatos because Howard Stern always talks about how much he loves him, and I love Howard Stern," said Sarah Silverman. But the comedienne, dressed in Rebecca Taylor, doesn't love the party circuit. "I'll probably be watching 'Law & Order' in half an hour," she said. Celebrity guests spanned the worlds of music, sport, food and comedy, and included Serena Williams, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Jeremy Piven, Kelly Rowland, Mario Batali and Rachael Ray.
