Gucci’s party celebrating its collaboration with boat maker Riva was heavy on the wow factor, as guests queued up to snap pictures in front of the $750,000 Aquariva by Gucci speedboat propped up in a tent in the courtyard of Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan.

Robert Polet, president and ceo of Gucci Group, Gucci chief executive officer Patrizio di Marco and models Anja Rubik, Raquel Zimmermann and Joan Smalls sipped martinis and Champagne as big screens displayed the boat going full throttle at sea. Frida Giannini, wearing a black silk all-in-one plucked straight from her catwalk show that afternoon, said she basically lives on the water in summer, when she stays in her villa on the coast south of Rome.

“So when I had this opportunity to work with Riva on this boat, I jumped at the chance,” she said. “This is the most iconic boat. It’s the Ferrari of the seas.” Upon leaving the venue, guests were handed a floating boat key chain – that’s what you call living the dream.
