Boys II Men

The chivalrous, and the occasionally less so, hit GQ’s annual Gentleman’s Ball.

The chivalrous, and the occasionally less so, hit The Edison Ballroom in Midtown Wednesday night for GQ’s annual Gentleman’s Ball where the magazine and a host of celebrity presenters honored everyday do-gooders in fields like education and hunger prevention.

David Arquette, who earlier in the day had admitted to Howard Stern that he cried after cheating on wife Courteney Cox, drew laughs with some mock sobs before presenting an award.

“I’m a complete gentleman,” he said earlier in the evening. “In recent days it might not be reported like that, but I do respect women.…”

Later, Chris Brown, who last year pleaded guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna, was seen chatting with honoree Jimmie Briggs, whose Man Up Campaign aims to end domestic violence.
