The long week of fashion parties finally came to an end on Thursday, much to the delight of oversocialized editors and stylists (though everyone should be so lucky to complain about free fancy dinners with celebrities).

Francisco Costa celebrated his Calvin Klein collection with the famous faces who were at his show — Katie Holmes, Julianne Moore, Isabel Lucas — as well as a few additions — Loulou de la Falaise, Nora Zehetner, Kiefer Sutherland, Ethan Hawke and, later in the evening, Edward Norton. The actors’ presences certainly added the right amount of pizzazz to the gathering, although credit goes to Costa’s family, visiting from Brazil, who sat on the balcony with the designer and seemed more or less disinterested in fawning over the stars.

After dinner, die-hards stuck around for what was said to be a birthday bash for Lisa Marie Fernandez upstairs, but ended up as a free-for-all. One publicist got behind the bar and helped herself, and anyone within reach, to bottles of Stella Artois until management came up, turned on the lights and kicked everyone downstairs. And if it wasn’t clear enough the party was over, in every sense of the term, staff cleared away the tables and stacked up all the chairs. But Costa just climbed atop the pile and sat on it, continuing his conversation till the bitter end.
