GET SHIRTY: For Alison Mosshart, the face of Equipment, shirts are one thing. But “I never do a shoot where I’m not wearing my own jeans and my own shoes,” The Kills front woman admitted at a party Saturday night for Equipment’s new documentary, titled “Paris Spleen.”

“When I’ve been asked by stylists to wear clothes that I don’t like, it’s a total train-wreck,” Mosshart explained. “I love fashion, but I can’t be that person who plays 10 different parts. It’s just not me.”

Indeed, Mosshart sticks to her rock ‘n’ roll style whether she’s recording her new album with The Kills, or racing around America in her sports car. “Cars are my biggest passion. I am constantly thinking about when I can drive my muscle car next — it goes too fast for life, it’s perfect,” she said.

The party was held in East London’s Village Underground, where the film was projected on the soaring brick walls of the former viaduct. Leigh Lezark steered clear of the Belvedere cocktails because of a cold, whilst Jamie Hince got more into the swing of things, swaying to Zoë Kravitz’s DJ set.

Mosshart’s brother Matthew had turned out to show his support with fiancée Kelly Osbourne, who had much more concrete ideas about her impending plus-size collection than she did about their imminent wedding. “I will never use the f-word (fat), I will never use the b-word (big): I much prefer statuesque. Because even a size 24 should be able to feel like they’re wearing something cool,” she explained.
