The 66th Emmy Awards broadcast is Monday. On Thursday night, nominees Zoe Saldana, Jessica Paré, Michelle Dockery, Aaron Paul and Jon Voight kicked off the awards weekend with a party at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. Julie Bowen of “Modern Family” had a predawn call time the next morning, but she refused to let it cramp her style.

“I have to be at work at 5:45 tomorrow, so if I want to have any party [time], I’m walking in,” she insisted after she’d spent enough time on the red carpet at the Audi-sponsored event. The actress, in coral Hervé Léger, plans to don a “light and airy and happy-making and not heavy” number for the awards show.
Also putting partying first: Allison Janney, but she didn’t have much to worry about — her best guest actress Emmy win was already revealed Sunday.

“There’s a lot coming up. It is exhausting,” she said. “It’s been incredibly overwhelming and wonderful and nerve-racking and exciting. It’s everything. It’s so much. It’s a lot just walking down the carpet and trying not to fall.” While Janney donned a muted Mugler outfit for the night, expect a much more colorful look on Sunday. “It’s in the red family. It’s a bold color choice,” she teased.

A still-undecided Taryn Manning of “Orange Is the New Black” has narrowed her decision down to two dresses. “I have two really different colors, and they both fit great,” she said. One color would seem to be off-limits: orange. Unless, of course, the whole cast committed to donning it together. “That would be kind of goofy. It would definitely cause a ruckus. I would love that. Maybe one day we’ll all be daring enough to do that,” she said.
