A mixed bag of fashion followers and old-guard society gathered at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy on Tuesday to celebrate the Couture Council. The raison d’être for the cocktail party was to kick off ticket sales for the group’s annual luncheon during New York Fashion Week. But, as was revealed to a crowd including Deeda Blair, Charlotte Moss, Valerie Steele and Francisco Costa, this year’s function honoring Karl Lagerfeld is already sold out. Members got first dibs on tickets, but any Chanel-obsessed nonmembers shouldn’t fret — there is a waiting list for lunch with Lagerfeld.
