BID FOR THE KID: While sightings of carousing celebrities aren’t uncommon at the Chateau Marmont, the scene of stars dancing for their dinner at the American Foundation for AIDS Research’s gala on Thursday was narrowly missed.

“I could use some go-go boys,” Deborah Harry beseeched during her campy rendition of “One Way or Another.”

The singer could have had her pick of dapper gentlemen, including actors Colin Farrell, Ryan Kwanten and Jesse Bradford. There were also the models who participated in fashion presentations by Hugo Boss, Fendi and Thierry Mugler. Alas, not a single person responded to Harry’s request. For Sinéad O’Connor’s moving version of “Nothing Compares 2 U” dedicated to the family of amfAR champion Elizabeth Taylor, Sandra Bullock bopped her head along to the beat as Emmy Rossum, Selma Blair, Rose McGowan, Garcelle Beauvais, Liz Goldwyn and Jacqui Getty soaked up the alfresco ambience.

At the auction, Josh Duhamel lost in his bid to win a Damien Hirst drawing, which eventually went to Alex von Furstenberg for $35,000. Creative Artists Agency’s Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd spent $15,000 on Andy Warhol’s screen print of peaches for Bullock’s 1-year-old son, Louis.

“I’d like to thank Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd for not being cheap f--ks,” Bullock said onstage in gratitude.
