Baby Buggy, the women’s and children’s charity founded by Jessica Seinfeld, held its first Los Angeles event Monday night at Soho House West Hollywood with host Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia. Despite a spread of miniature candy bars and 2-inch grilled cheeses, the party was for moms sans kids (although Bendet’s 2-year-old daughter, Eloise, made an early cameo for her photo opp).

“This was Mason’s nap time, so it just didn’t work out to bring him, though he is very social and he loves meeting new people,” said Kourtney Kardashian of her nearly one-year-old son.

Mom Ashlee Simpson concurred. “Bronx is home in bed with my husband,” she said of her own two-year-old son. “So I brought my mom tonight.”

The two came bearing bags of diapers and baby clothes to donate, adding to the sizable pile in the middle of the room. Even single girls like Molly Sims, Nicky Hilton, Odette Yustman and Eva Amurri pitched in.

“I’m really into any cause that supports both women and kids,” Amurri said as she beat an early exit. Most guests were in no such rush to leave, staying well past the 9:00 p.m. cutoff time.

Simpson explained: “It’s fun to have a girls’ night out where you’re not home in pajamas by 9:00 p.m.”
