Madewell hosted a bungalow party at Chateau Marmont on Wednesday to fete its second collaboration with Alexa Chung. A roster of girls eager to emulate the It girl’s style showed up to pre-order pieces like angora sweaters, plaid blanket scarves and a feminine rendition of a binman’s coat — Brit slang for the jackets worn by garbage collectors.

“I kind of want everything,” said Gia Coppola after she came downstairs from the second floor makeshift showroom (where a nail artist was also airbrushing tiny palm trees onto guests nails because they were “Alexa’s latest obsession” according to the signage).

“She’s just so talented,” said Kate Bosworth of her pal Chung, who herself was more modest.

“This was like playtime for me, just getting to draw and have fun,” Chung said. “Of course, with my first collection last year, I was more apprehensive, but this year I was like, ‘Let’s just take a swig and do this.’”

Among the other attendees already wearing the collection were Dianna Agron, Amanda Seyfried, Elle Fanning, Roxanne Mesquida and up and comer Holland Roden of “Teen Wolf” fame.

“It’s cool to see her in my dress,” said Chung as Fanning tottered by in a white lace minidress and chunky wood platforms. Chung’s best friend, The Like drummer Tennessee Thomas, provided the turntable tunes, and will also come along for the ride on the upcoming multiple city Madewell “tour.”
