Going gaga for Gaga in Los Angeles.

Glittered face paint, platinum blonde wigs and decadent lace bodysuits were the norm in and outside the Los Angeles Staples Center on Monday night. The attraction, of course, was the Lady Gaga concert, which was a particularly special stop on the artist’s worldwide “Monster Ball” tour: her 25th birthday. Concertgoers began lining up outside of the venue more than two hours before doors opened, clad in their interpretations of Gaga’s best-known looks. A radio-sponsored “Gaga Look-a-Like” contest showcased some of the more original get-ups, including accessories such as Coke can hair rollers, cigarette-covered sunglasses and mirrored mosaic go-go boots. When the doors finally opened, fans of all ages shouted the lyrics to “Born This Way,” eagerly pushing their way inside for the real show.
