With their two distinct styles, Chicago’s Gold Coast and Wicker Park neighborhoods could be considered the uptown and downtown of fashion personalities. The Gold Coast — the city’s most upscale and established district — is home to high-end department stores, designer boutiques and fancy restaurants, while Wicker Park is artsy, bohemian and primarily known for its hipsters, bar scene and great vintage stores. But these days it’s freezing-cold in both areas, and its locals have one thing in common: layers upon layers of warm clothes, from fur-trimmed coats to motorcycle jackets, capelets to military inspired parkas.
