Glove Love: The April 6, 1920 issue included illustrated instructions on the “Right And Wrong Way Of Putting On Gloves.” The correct method was to insert the fingers first, gradually fitting each one, and leave the thumb last. What not to do: insert the fingers and thumb at the same time. Later that year, on August 2, WWD ran another how-to story, this time covering the right and wrong way to put on shoes to ensure longer lasting footwear.
