UP FRONT: Monica Bellucci is one busy lady – and on multiple fronts. On Sunday night, she took time out from a heavy shooting schedule to attend Cartier’s cabaret-themed ball at the Opéra Comique in Paris, a rollicking and sumptuous event mingling feather-fanning showgirls, tightrope walkers, live music, thousands of flowers – and diamonds for days.

Her curves accentuated by a black lace Dolce & Gabbana column, Bellucci said she just wrapped a French film opposite Louis Garrel, and is about to start production in Italy on Giovanni Veronesi’s  “Manuale d’amore,” a love story, opposite Robert De Niro.

“Also, I just had a baby and I’m breastfeeding,” she added with a laugh. Bellucci can also be seen in the forthcoming American film, “The Whistleblower,” also starring Vanessa Redgrave and Rachel Weisz.

The Cartier bash brought together some 250 clients from around the world to get first dibs on the jeweler’s extravagant new 64-piece high jewelry collection on the eve of the Biennale des Antiquaires. Among the gulp-inducing rocks on display was a 52.24-carat blue sapphire.

Singer VV Brown - looking very Forties lounge singer in a shirtdress and sparkling, flower-studded headband - packed the dance floor with a cover version of The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling.”
