More like the Batmobile than just another fancy sports car, the new Reventón from Lamborghini is the fastest, most costly and most extreme car the company has ever built.

With a super price tag of $1.5 million, only 20 cars will leave the assembly plant near Bologna, Italy.

“Reventón is the most extreme of all Lamborghinis; it’s the supercar for the records,” says Stephan Winkelmann, president and chief executive officer of the  legendary sports car marque. “It was conceived and produced in only 12 months and sold out in one week. Its uniqueness has made it legendary, and we’re proud  of having turned it into a point of reference for the car world.”

Made of a carbon fiber material that is as light as it is stable, the car is named after the bull that took the life of ace torero Félix Guzmán in 1943—the bull being the icon on all Lamborghinis.

But unlike earthly creatures, the aerodynamic Reventón has a maximum speed of 211 miles an hour.

The car comes only in a matte gray green shade that shimmers subtly in daylight  and has a glass laminate hood with open ventilation slits for a glimpse of the  12-cylinder engine.

Next-generation airplane cockpits inspired the interior, with the instruments lodged in a dash milled from a solid aluminum block and sheathed in carbon fiber. And, proving the Reventón is an out-of-this-world ride, the dials even include a g-force meter.
