“Chaotic” eyebrows were key at the PPQ show.

Makeup artist Caroline Barnes, who was working with Max Factor, used a mascara wand to create disorderly brows. “They’re elfin like,” she said. Models’ faces were buffed lightly with bronzer and eyes were accentuated with shadows in Pale Pebble and Terra Firma. Lips, meanwhile, were coated with lip balm and buffed with translucent powder.

Though topped with ornate combs, hair, which was styled by Duffy, had a grungy feel. “It’s slightly Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love,” said Duffy, who was working backstage with Kiehl’s. He used Kiehl’s Climate-Proof, Shine-Enhancing Non-Aerosol Spray to break hair up at the roots, which was followed with Kiehl’s Creme With Silk Groom to give hair a lived-in feel.
