Avon handled makeup — and hair — for Cynthia Rowley’s show Thursday afternoon, which may come as no surprise considering the beauty company and the designer teamed up for a makeup collection last fall and are putting the finishing touches on a new fragrance.

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury said her aim was to create “winter fairies,” with wind-bitten cheeks and noses. There was lip gloss on the eyelids, for a “magical sparkle” and a peach-pink cream on the cheeks, over the nose and on the lips. “It’s like a 12-year-old playing in the snow,” said Tilbury.

The hair effort, which was led by Diego Da Silva, yielded an airy, teased down-do, which combined a shiny finish on top and a matte look underneath. Voluminous locks were first teased, then ironed to help set the texture and, finally, brushed out leaving middle and side parts. Two Avon hairsprays, one for hold and another for shine, were used to finish the look.
