Hairstylist Guido Palau created what he called a “Studio 54, Seventies-glam, high-maintenance” look at Temperley London Wednesday evening.

Palau, who was working on behalf of Redken, began the do with the hair up in curlers. It was then released and blown flat at the top, blown and brushed straight in the middle and curled with an iron at the ends. The result? A lot of body, volume and curly ends.

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury did a soft cat eye backstage at Temperley for MAC Cosmetics. She first created a “silvery, gray smoky eye,” with an eye shadow called Shark Skin, and then pulled the surrounding black shadow, called Carbon, out over the outside corners. “It’s Seventies-like,” she said, adding a bit of Silver Fog highlight.

Tilbury also applied highlighter to the nose and cheeks and, on the lips, used a product called Lip Erase. The matte, tinted product was used to “take the lip down,” noted Tilbury.
