PRESTIGE MARKET

Unity Marketing has ranked the leading beauty and skin care brands for the first half of the year based on a survey of buying patterns among consumers with household incomes of $250,000 or higher. The findings are part of Unity Marketing’s most recent Luxury Tracking Study. Pam Danziger, president of the Stevens, Pa.-based research firm, said it appears the beauty category “is where mass brands have found the greatest traction” among affluent shoppers compared with categories such as apparel and shoes. “These brands are offering value solutions for women who are not looking to break the bank,” she said. “You can buy the pretty bottle, or you can pay for what’s inside of it. Women have really gotten that message.”
